HOTELS NEAR HARRISON, OH
Express Inn & Suites at 1000 East Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg, Indiana, is about 18 minutes and roughly 14 miles from Harrison, Ohio, using I-74 and I-275. Rooms start from $69 per night with free hot breakfast, an indoor heated pool, free parking and pet-friendly rooms, and the 24-hour front desk handles late arrivals.
Getting here
From downtown Harrison, pick up I-74 at exit 1 (New Haven Road) and head east a few miles to the I-275 interchange. Take I-275 toward Lawrenceburg and Kentucky; the highway runs south past the Kilby Road exit and crosses into Indiana. Leave at exit 16 for US-50 and follow the signs for Lawrenceburg and Greendale. We are about 2 miles from the exit on East Eads Parkway.
From the southern side of Harrison Township, closer to Miami Whitewater Forest, you can join I-74 at Dry Fork Road instead. Either way the route is divided highway almost the whole distance, which makes this one of the easier drives on the west side of the Cincinnati area, about 18 minutes outside rush hour.
1000 East Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
Harrison has grown quickly as a home base on the far west side of Hamilton County, and new subdivisions bring new reasons to visit: grandkids, housewarmings, moving weekends and family events. When a visit runs longer than a guest room can handle, Express Inn & Suites is close enough to be part of the plan without turning each day into a road trip.
The hotel also suits people who want to split their time. Harrison sits about 20 miles northwest of downtown Cincinnati, and the hotel is about 25 minutes from downtown on its own. You can pair a Harrison family visit with a Reds game, a casino night five minutes from your room, or an early flight out of CVG, which is about 15 to 20 minutes from our lot on I-275 without crossing the city.
Value counts as well. Rooms start from $69 per night with breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking included, and the indoor pool gives kids something to look forward to after a day of unpacking boxes.
Miami Whitewater Forest is the big draw. The Hamilton County park borders Harrison and covers more than 4,000 acres, with a lake, trails, wetlands and a golf course. It is an easy morning outing before or after a family visit, and the hotel is about 20 minutes away.
Fernald Preserve, a former federal uranium processing site that has been restored into a nature preserve with trails and a visitors center, is a short drive northeast of Harrison. It is a favorite with birders and makes a quiet, unusual stop if you have an afternoon free.
School life centers on William Henry Harrison High School, the only high school in the Southwest Local School District, which serves Harrison, Crosby and Whitewater townships. Football Fridays, band shows and graduation bring a steady flow of relatives who need a room for the weekend.
Harrison sits right on the Indiana line, but the hotel is not in Harrison, so build the 18-minute drive into your schedule. For a Harrison High School game, leaving our lot about 30 minutes before kickoff gives you time to park and find seats.
Families on a long weekend should look at the King Studio Suite or the Deluxe King Studio Suite, which add a sofa bed and extra room so kids have space to spread out after a day at the park. The indoor pool is open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, which makes it the evening plan on cold or rainy nights.
