Hotel near CVG Airport on the Indiana side — about 20 minutes by I-275

CVG carries Cincinnati's name, but the airport actually sits in Hebron, Kentucky, in Boone County on the south side of the Ohio River. From our parking lot you follow US-50 (Eads Parkway) about 2 miles to I-275 at exit 16, take the interstate toward Kentucky, cross the Ohio River, and follow the airport signs to the terminal. You never drive into Ohio or through downtown Cincinnati to get there.

In normal traffic the trip takes about 20 minutes. Give yourself a few extra minutes during the weekday morning commute, in heavy rain, or when there's winter weather on the bridge. Because almost the whole drive is interstate, an Indiana address works better for CVG than most first-time visitors expect.

Late landings are routine for us. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, so whether your connection drops you off at 11 PM or 1:30 AM, someone is here to hand you a key. If a delay pushes you past midnight, call (812) 717-4062 so the desk knows you're still on your way, and confirm when you book how your reservation is held for a late arrival.

Most guests get here by rental car, rideshare, or taxi from CVG's ground transportation area. Once you're in the room, a microwave and mini-fridge mean you can heat up something you picked up on the way, and the lobby sundry shop carries snacks and travel basics if you forgot a toothbrush somewhere over Denver.

If you're picking someone up rather than flying yourself, the hotel is a calm place to wait out a delayed inbound flight: free Wi-Fi, free parking, and a 20-minute run to arrivals once the plane is actually on the ground.

Work backward from your departure time. Airlines commonly suggest arriving about two hours before a domestic flight, and the drive is about 20 minutes, so for a 6:00 AM flight most guests leave the lot between 3:30 and 3:45 AM. Add time if you're returning a rental car or checking bags.

Breakfast runs until 9:30 AM on weekdays and 10 AM on weekends, which suits mid-morning flights but not the first wave of departures. If you're leaving in the dark, make coffee with the in-room coffee maker and stash a snack in the mini-fridge the night before.

One important note: Express Inn & Suites does not offer park-and-fly. Free parking is for registered guests during their stay, so if you need somewhere to leave a car while you're away, use CVG's own airport parking. The front desk is happy to talk through your timing for the morning.

A lot of CVG travelers aren't really here for the airport. They're flying in for a wedding in Dearborn County, a weekend at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg about 5 minutes from the hotel, a visit to family in southeast Indiana, or a trip to the Creation Museum about 15 minutes away in Petersburg, Kentucky. Staying in Lawrenceburg puts you close to those plans and still keeps the airport an easy run.

The rooms are refreshed and 100% non-smoking, with an elevator to all three floors, which matters when you're hauling a big checked bag.
