HOTELS IN GREENDALE, IN
Express Inn & Suites is on East Eads Parkway in Greendale, Indiana, the city Google lists for the hotel (the mailing address is Lawrenceburg, IN 47025). Most of Greendale is under 5 minutes away, I-275 is about 2 miles off, and rooms start from $69 per night with free hot breakfast and an indoor heated pool.
Getting here
If your map app says the hotel is in Greendale, it's right. Greendale and Lawrenceburg share borders so closely that most visitors can't tell where one ends and the other begins, and East Eads Parkway, which is US-50, runs through both. From I-275, take exit 16, follow US-50 toward Lawrenceburg, and the hotel is about 2 miles along the parkway. Booking sites, mail and GPS may show either city name for 1000 East Eads Parkway.
From the hotel, local streets branch off the parkway into Greendale's residential neighborhoods, schools and churches, and nearly every address in the city is less than a 5-minute drive. The big distillery campus, with its rows of brick warehouses, sits on the Lawrenceburg–Greendale line a few minutes away.
1000 East Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
Greendale is mostly homes, schools, churches and the shops that line US-50, so it doesn't have many places to spend the night. For relatives in town for a graduation, a baptism or a holiday weekend, the hotel is effectively part of the neighborhood: close enough to drop back for a nap, far enough that nobody sleeps on an air mattress.
The room mix works well for visiting families. Two-queen rooms sleep four, the King Studio Suite and Deluxe King Studio Suite add a sofa bed, up to two kids 18 and under stay free using existing bedding, cribs are free, and a rollaway is $10 per night. Connecting rooms can be requested, which is helpful when grandparents and grandkids want a door between them rather than a wall.
The large whiskey plant on the Lawrenceburg–Greendale line has been distilling in some form since the 1800s. Its roots go back to George Ross's Rossville Distillery, founded in 1847 on what is now the campus. Seagram ran the plant for decades in the 20th century, MGP Ingredients bought it in 2011, and in September 2021 it was renamed the Ross & Squibb Distillery, a name that honors two of the area's early distilling families.
Much of the distillery's reputation comes from whiskey that leaves here and appears under other companies' labels, so a lot of bourbon and rye sold around the country started life in these warehouses. The company also bottles its own brands, including George Remus bourbon and Rossville Union rye. That heritage is a big reason the area leans into its "Whiskey City" identity.
Keep in mind that it's a working production site, not a tourist attraction, and we can't promise tours. If you're a whiskey fan, check MGP's or Luxco's official channels for any visitor or tasting programs before your trip, and look for bars and shops in downtown Lawrenceburg that pour Indiana whiskey.
You'll want a car. Eads Parkway gets busy at shift changes and on weekend evenings when casino traffic is moving to and from I-275, so turning left out of a parking lot can take patience. When it's backed up, turning right and looping around is often quicker than waiting for a gap.
For small things you may not need to leave at all: the lobby sundry shop covers forgotten toothbrushes and snacks, and there's an ATM and guest laundry. Dog owners can use the pet relief area on the property or walk to Todd Creech Park, about 7 minutes away on foot. Pet rooms are on the 3rd floor, and the elevator makes that easy with a crate or a senior dog.
