Express Inn & Suites sits on US-50 in Lawrenceburg, about 2 miles from I-275 and about 25 minutes from downtown Cincinnati in normal traffic. Most guests take I-275 north into Ohio and pick up I-74 east into the city; US-50 east along the river is the slower, scenic alternative. Weekday rush hour and game-day traffic near the stadiums can stretch that to 35 or 40 minutes, so build in some slack.

For people who are driving to Cincinnati anyway, that half hour is the trade you make for a lower total bill. For people flying into CVG, the hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport without passing through downtown at all.

Staying in Lawrenceburg works best when you have a car and your plans are spread out: a Reds or Bengals game one day, the Creation Museum or Perfect North Slopes the next, Hollywood Casino about 5 minutes from the hotel in between. It also works for road-trippers on I-275 who just need a clean, quiet room, a hot breakfast, and an easy return to the interstate.

It makes less sense if your whole trip is downtown and you want to walk everywhere after dark. In that case the money you save on the room can disappear into rideshares back and forth. Be honest with yourself about how many trips into the city you'll make, and price both options before you book.
