HOTELS NEAR BURLINGTON, KY
Express Inn & Suites in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, is about 20 minutes and roughly 15 miles from Burlington, Kentucky, the Boone County seat, by way of I-275. Rooms start from $69 per night and come with free hot breakfast, free parking, an indoor heated pool and pet-friendly rooms.
Getting here
The most direct way from Burlington is north on KY-237 (North Bend Road) to I-275 at exit 8. Follow I-275 toward Indiana across the Ohio River, take exit 16 for US-50 toward Lawrenceburg and Greendale, and drive about 2 miles on Eads Parkway to the hotel.
From the Boone County Fairgrounds side of town, Idlewild Road connects to KY-20 and the Idlewild Bypass, which puts you on I-275 at exit 11, a few minutes closer to the bridge. Either way you are on two-lane county roads for the first few miles, so allow a little extra time after dark or in bad weather.
1000 East Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
Burlington is the county seat and a busy suburb, but most of its hotels are clustered by the airport and the interstate in Florence and Erlanger. For people whose plans are on the western side of Boone County, at the fairgrounds, a farm wedding venue or a relative's house out past the courthouse, the Indiana side is often just as close, and the drive back on I-275 is straightforward.
Guests also tell our front desk they like the indoor heated pool for kids after a day at the fair, and that it's easy to bring a dog. We accept up to two dogs or cats of any size at $25 per pet per night, in rooms on the third floor, and there's a pet relief area on the property.
Burlington is home to the Boone County government offices and courthouse, which brings in people for court dates, jury service, county meetings and real-estate closings. The Boone County Fairgrounds, on Idlewild Road, hosts the county fair in summer and a range of shows and events through the year.
The best-known of those is the Burlington Antique Show, a long-running outdoor market held on select Sundays from spring through fall, with well over a hundred vendors selling furniture, Americana, jewelry and architectural salvage. Dealers set up early in the morning, so many come in the night before. Check the show's official listings for the current schedule.
Out on KY-18, the Dinsmore Homestead is a historic farm and house museum furnished with the family's original belongings, and the little river town of Rabbit Hash, with its general store, is a scenic drive south of Burlington.
Antique show dealers and buyers should know that weekend breakfast runs until 10 AM, which may be later than you need to be set up. If you're setting up at dawn, pack something in your in-room fridge the night before and come back for a late breakfast once your booth is running. The front desk is staffed 24 hours if you get in late Saturday with a loaded van.
If you're in Burlington on court or county business, your room has a work desk, free Wi-Fi, an iron and an in-room safe for documents. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If your hearing could be rescheduled, confirm the cancellation policy with the front desk when you book.
